Clowns Are Scary
The February 2008 Recorder cover story of clowns and their children's ministry. Was it coincidence? Another magazine arrived the same day with a report, "Clowns are Scary," by the University of Sheffield researchers and 250 young subjects. Published recently in Nursing Standard, that report says kids age four to 16 universally dislike pictures of clowns and often find them scary. Perhaps something better can be found to attract children.

Religious Liberty Builds Bridges
I read in the recent Recorder [Jan. 2008] that the religious liberty department will be organizing seminars on "immigration rights and responsibilities." My parents understood that this meant entering the country legally when they came to this great country in the 1950s. I wonder if Mr. Reinach plans to teach those who have not followed the proper immigration that their responsibility is to exit the country and re-enter legally.

Paul Harvey's Gift
Years ago when I worked for Elder HMS Richards and HMS Richards Jr., I remember they were good friends of Paul Harvey. I was impressed with their sincerity and genuineness and it has grown through the years. Our eldest son's middle name is Harvey — after, of course, Paul Harvey. How grateful we can be to have the love and support of such beautiful and influential people as these! Some day they will be rewarded.

I'm so happy to hear ["Paul and Angel Harvey's Gift Transforms Camelback Services;" Jan. 2008] Paul Harvey has had more than I expected, fellowship with the Seventh-day Adventist church. His mention of us on his program lead me to believe so. Now I know for sure.

Great gift. I listen to Paul Harvey on WDBO in Central Florida. I am happy for the church ... now that I know the rest of the story.

Dinner Benefits Girls
This is fantastic ["Dinner Benefits ADRA's Keep Girls Safe Project;" Nov. 2007]; raising this money for sexually exploited young women in Thailand. My hat is off to Maria Joham and also to Greg Young!
