Bentsien, Harold A. – b. July 18, 1907, Chicago, Ill.; d. Nov. 24, 2007, San Diego, Calif. Survivors: wife, Madonna Marshall-Bentzien; son, Ben; daughter, Donna Roberts; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Church, J. B. – b. July 26, 1918, Mineola, Texas; d. Nov. 9, 2007, Loma Linda, Calif. Survivors: wife, Hazel June; son, Jim; daughters, Donnie Piller, Carol, Faith Shipp; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Served as a pastor in Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, North and South Carolina; and as lay activities director in Northern California.

Cordis, George E. – b. July 17, 1929, Loma Linda, Calif.; d. Nov. 12, 2007, Calistoga, Calif. Survivors: sons, Gary, Wally, Keith, Mike; daughters, Marleena Pearson, Barbara Lamont; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Crabill, Deloris – b. Feb. 4, 1930, Huntington Park, Calif. d. June 23, 2007, Redlands, Calif. Survivors: husband, Robert; son, James Robert; daughters, Michelle Shoesmith, Gayle Gary, Nancy Ritchie, Judy Murray, Debra Weyel; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Taught at the Braille Institute in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Eberlein, Theodor – b. Jan. 27, 1913, Dinuba, Calif.; d. Nov. 25, 2007, Los Altos, Calif. Survivors: sons, Gordon, Richard; daughters, Sharna, Clarice Anderson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Farmed around Delano and Dinuba in Central Valley. Supported Christian education.

Forgey, Elma D. – b. Aug. 30, 1916, Anaheim, Calif.; d. Sept. 16, 2007, Berrien Springs, Mich. She worked at St. Helena Hospital and was a Pathfinder leader for over 50 years.

Fuchs, Bette J. – b. Jan. 19, 1927, Manfred, N.D.; d. Dec. 1, 2007, Lodi, Calif. Survivors: husband, Donald; son, Brad. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and wife; enjoyed traveling, camping, and family gatherings.

Fuller, Robert – b. April 15, 1930, Placerville, Calif.; d. Oct. 10, 2007, Placerville, Calif. Survivors: wife, Alice; sons, Robert, Mark, John; daughter, Michelle; four grandchildren. Served as family physician, missionary and regional medical officer for the U.S. Dept. of State, foreign service.

Gallagher, Eunice Rowe – b. Sept. 18, 1916, Crystal Falls, Mich.; d. Oct. 8, 2007, Palm Springs, Calif. Survivors: son, James "Jiggs;" one granddaughter. Served as an editor at the Review & Herald Publishing Association; worked on LeRoy Froom's "Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers"; taught voice at CUC.

Glos, Elton C. – b. Sept. 26, 1912, Rutherford, Calif.; d. Nov. 15, 2007, Vallejo, Calif. Survivors: son, Robert; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Served the US Army as radio operator, mechanic and gunner; as a radio instructor in the US Air Force during WWII; and worked for Pac Bell.

Gonzalez, Mary Lou – b. May 16, 1932, Mexicali, Mexico; d. Dec. 4, 2007, Encinitas, Calif. Survivors: husband, Gamaliel; son, Cesar; daughters, Syria Bustos, Myrna Acevedo; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Devoted member of the church for 52 years; loved her family, her church and more importantly, the Lord.

Gordon, Neville Ray – b. June 3, 1916, Corcoran, Calif. d. July 31, 2007, Redding, Calif. Survivors: daughter, Marilyn (Mernie) Johnson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A WWII veteran and retired cattle rancher; volunteered on 74 mission projects around the world; supported 60 young people in underdeveloped countries to pursue education.

Guerra, Juan L. – b. March 31, 1920, El Paso, Texas; d. Oct. 30, 2007, Oro Grande, Calif. Survivors: wife, Rita; daughters, Irma Vasquez, Tillie Rivera, Linda Zapata, Rita Hilda Guerro; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was a pioneer of the High Desert Bilingual church and a WWII veteran.

Hadley, Bonnie Rae – b. Feb. 19, 1924, Los Angeles, Calif. d. Nov. 24, 2007, Mentone, Calif. Survivors: sons, Dean, Roger; daughters, Jeralyn, Merrilee; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Harrell, Irene (Lind) – b. Jan.30, 1925, Lodi, Calif. d. Nov. 29, 2007, Modesto, Calif. Survivors: sons, Wayne, Bruce and Gary Baumback; eight grandchildren.

Kinsey, Frederick John – b. May 30, 1908, Remus, Mich.; d. Nov. 22, 2007, Yucaipa, Calif. Survivors: wife, Mary Elizabeth; son, David; daughters, Elizabeth Krueger, Rebecca Neufeld. Served in pastoral ministry and church administration in California, Indiana, Iowa and West Virginia.

Knoll, Raymond L. – b. May 11, 1907, Newkirk, Okla.; d. Nov. 20, 2007, Sacramento, Calif. Survivors: son, Vance; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Served as medical doctor in Alaska and Lodi; worked in experimental endocrinology for many years; wrote a book, titled How to Live to 101.

Loock, Beatrice – b. Dec. 1, 1909, Howard Lake, Minn.; d. Nov. 2, 2007, Lodi, Calif. Enjoyed traveling, volunteered for many years at Lodi Memorial Hospital and AARP.

Mallery, Lynn – b. June 26, 1937, San Diego, Calif. d. Nov. 7, 2007, Riverside, Calif. Survivors: wife, Janet; sons, James, Paul; two grandchildren. Served as president of the Southeastern California Conference from 1992 until his retirement in 2004; as ministerial director and executive secretary of the Southeastern California Conference, 1987-1992; senior pastor of the La Sierra University Church, 1980-1987; chair of the church and ministry department of Loma Linda University (now La Sierra University) 1973-1980. Also, pastored the Olivehurst, Fort Bragg, Auburn, and Pleasant Hill churches.

Maxwell, D. Malcolm – b. April 6, 1934, Watford, Hertforshire, England; d. October 1, 2007, Scottsdale, Ariz. Survivors: son, Kevin; daughter, Wendy; five grandchildren. Served as a pastor, religion teacher at Union College, Walla Walla College, Pacific Union College, vice president for academic affairs at Walla Walla, and president of PUC for 18 years.

McConnell, Mildred E. – b. Jan. 14, 1922, Chicago, Ill.; d. Nov. 27, 2007, Citrus Heights, Calif. Survivors: husband, John; son, John, Jr.; daughter, Janet Egelmann.

Mitchell, Maryann Voss – b. Jan. 10, 1917, Kansas City, Kan.; d. Dec. 3, 2007, Colton, Calif. Served as a nurse and a businesswoman.

Purdom, Lorna Miller – b. Sept. 1, 1909; Sheridan, Wyo.; d. Nov. 23, 2007, Loma Linda, Calif. Survivors: sons, Kenneth R. II, Jim T.; daughter, Lorna Doone Duterrow. Graduated from Loma Linda University with a degree in dietetics.

Reis, Ervin – b. April 19, 1914, Lincoln Valley, N.D.; d. Nov. 24, 2007, Lodi, Calif. Survivor: daughter, Karen Sheets. Established and operated a 1,000 acre wheat farm in N.D., farmed alfalfa in Lodi, and owned and operated Lodi Nutrition Center.

Salvage, Christene (MacDonald) – b. Nov. 14, 1912, Edgerton, Nova Scotia, Canada; d. Aug. 24, 2007, Hemet, Calif. Survivors: daughter, Marlene Cardey; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Served as an RN; in retirement she participated in many mission trips to Cambodia, Sudan, Kenya and the Marshall Islands assisting medical and dental teams.

Saunders, Jr., Romaine "Sandy" – b. March 17, 1920, Lincoln, Neb.; d. Nov. 17, 2007, Riverside, Calif. Survivors: wife, Roberta; daughters, Doris Sterling, Rebecca.

Smith, Florence – b. March 29, 1913, Speary, Okla.; d. Nov. 26, 2007, Lodi, Calif. Survivors: daughters, Carol Nakata, Marcia Chung; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Served as elementary school teacher and pastor's wife, involved with church construction and Maranatha Volunteers.

Steinman, Ralph – b. Nov. 23, 1910, Buncombe County, N.C.; d. Nov. 3, 2007, Loma Linda, Calif. Survivors: wife, Emily; son, Douglas; daughters, Susan Booth, Jennifer Olson; seven grandchildren. Served on the original faculty of the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.

Stirling, Maryan – b. Nov. 15, 1923, Vallejo, Calif.; d. Oct. 17, 2007, Santa Rosa, Calif. Survivors: husband, Jim; sons, Charles, John, Paul, David; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Writer of prose and poetry, including a commentary on Revelation; active member of the Association of Adventist Women and the Gender Equality Commission of SECC.

Correction: Walsh, Lillian – b. March 10, 1913, Lockeford, Calif.; d. Sept. 5, 2007, Fort Bragg, Calif.

Webb, Joe – b. July 18, 1918, Troy, New York; d. Nov. 26, 2007, Loma Linda, Calif. Survivors: wife, Merrilyn; son, Joe, Jr.; daughters, Gwen Griffin, Jackie Sanborn.

Williams, Charles – b. April 15, 1907, Toledo, Ohio; d. Oct. 27, 2007, Yountville, Calif. Survivors: wife, Marti; sons, Richard, Robert; daughter, Barbara Herr; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Sold service and insurance for Chevrolet; once had Charles Lindberg as a customer.
