Centennial Complex Construction Available for Viewing Online
Office of University Relations

Construction progress on Loma Linda University’s Centennial Complex may be viewed live online at www.llu.edu/centennial/complex, according to Carolyn Cales, M.A., executive director for special gifts, for Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center.

“The Centennial Complex has many essential assets,” Cales says. “The Swatek Anatomy Pavilion consists of special, high-tech laboratories complete with 108 modern anatomical work areas.”

In addition, “smart” classrooms on the second level will use the latest in audiovisual and computer technology to support global outreach and interactive learning.

Located on the same floor will be the clinical skills and assessment center, integrating a unique approach to health care skills development with the use of “patient” actors. Also located on the same floor will be two learning amphitheaters — one that seats 350 and another that seats 250.

The third level of the Centennial Complex will incorporate a large number of study alcoves for group discussions or personal study time, faculty offices, classrooms, two 100-seat learning amphitheaters, a library, and a public health geoinformatics information systems laboratory. In addition, the School of Religion will be housed in the complex.

One half of the fourth floor will house the medical simulation laboratory; the other half is reserved for future growth.
