Worked as a high school teacher for 17 years and as a professor at Pacific Union College for 21 years.

Davis, M. Jerry – b. June 10, 1938, Walla Walla, Wash.; d. Nov. 25, 2006, Redlands, Calif. Survivors: wife, Sylvia; son, Mark; three grandchildren. Served as Loma Linda University Medical Center chaplain's program director/LLUMC head chaplain, LLUC church building fund raiser.
Ellsworth, Judy F. – b. July 29, 1922, Sacramento, Calif.; d. Nov. 2, 2006, Calistoga, Calif. Survivors: daughters, Laura Koozmin, Peggy Dewsberry; one grandchild. Taught instrumental band music for many years at all levels in the Adventist educational system.
Emmerson, Naida L. – b. Jan. 31, 1911, Boulder, Colo.; d. Nov. 3, 2006, Grizzly Flats, Calif.
Ford, Eldon – b. Feb. 1, 1921, Peru; d. Oct. 26, 2006, Loma Linda, Calif. Survivors: wife, Venessa; two sons; two daughters; four grandchildren. Served 48 years as a missionary in Central America. His parents worked with Fernando Stahl in Peru.

Glover, A.R. – b. Dec. 2, 1909, Ark.; d. Sept. 25, 2006, Tracy, Calif. Survivors: wife, Joyce; daughter, Yvonne Glover Miller; three grandchildren. He was a committed supporter of the church and practiced medicine to the age of 92.
Gramyk, John B. – b. June 11, 1924, Hamton, Saskatchewan, Canada; d. Dec. 7, 2006, Redding, Calif. Survivors: sons, Kevin, Kenneth; four grandchildren. John was an R.N., nurse anesthetist, for 29 years.
Hanson, Juanita C. – b. Nov. 15, 1917, Iowa; d. Oct. 24, 2006, Walla Walla, Wash. Survivors: sons, Gary, Billy; daughter, Donna McFarland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Herr, Elanora “Ellie” – b. Jan. 24, 1921, Sioux City, Iowa; d. Nov. 08, 2006, St. Helena, Calif. She worked in the Nebraska Book and Bible House, Wyoming Mission; PUC as a business office cashier and secretary for George Gott and presidents Cassell and Maxwell.
Hintz, Elsie – b. April 22, 1908, Starbohel, Russia; d. Oct. 30, 2006, Lodi, Calif. Was a live-in housekeeper for private residents in the Bay Area for many years.
Hobbs, Edward – b. Sept. 5, 1905, Alva, Okla.; d. Dec. 1, 2006, Fresno, Calif. Survivors: son, David; daughter, Nancy Moreno.
Hori, Melvin – b. Aug. 4, 1941, Sacramento, Calif.; d. Nov. 12, 2006, London, England. Survivor: wife, Rosemary.
Huse, Wilfred M. – b. Dec. 19, 1931, Zimbabwe, Africa; d. Oct. 28, 2006, Loma Linda, Calif. Survivors: wife, Margaret; son, Richard; daughters, Rosemary Dibben, Christine Sloop, Patricia, Valerie Roger; seven grandchildren. Dr. Huse was a cardiac and thoracic surgeon at St. Helena Hospital from 1975-2006; former principal cardiac surgeon at Loma Linda University.

Nelson, Ben – b. Jan. 20, 1927, Normal, Ill.; d. Nov. 20, 2006, Sun City, Calif. Survivors: wife, Margaret Irene; son, N. David; daughter, Priscilla Berry; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Served as a volunteer chaplain with the Jerry Pettis Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda and led 160 memorial services at the Riverside National Cemetery.
