Pacific Union Kids Graduate from KidZone Bible Guides
Eldyn Karr

The first graduate from the Voice of Prophecy's new KidZone Bible Guides was six-year-old Joshua Gassama of Los Angeles, who says he enjoyed "the stories, Bible verses, color, and pictures."

The Pacific Union is also home to the first youngster to graduate after learning about KidZone on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Zion McThomas, 11, attends a Gospel for Life church in Arizona.

Eleven-year-old Ashley Young from Northern California enrolled after reading about KidZone in Guide magazine. "The lessons brought me closer to Jesus," she writes. Since completing KidZone, she has also graduated from the adult Discover Bible Guides.

In Hawaii, Bible school coordinator Hideko Miyashiro personally delivered the KidZone guides to two brothers who are being homeschooled, Kekona and Makana Kaopio.

KidZone presents doctrines with stories and illustrations that junior-age youth enjoy and is designed to be used by Vacation Bible Schools, baptismal classes, and elementary schools, as well as for sharing door-to-door.

Topics for the 14 lessons include creation, the fall, salvation, baptism, prayer, the ten commandments, the sabbath, health, death, the second coming, and heaven.

Every guide includes an appeal to accept Jesus. Besides a response sheet to be returned to an instructor, each lesson also features an activities page with games, puzzles, and other fun things to do.

KidZone is free to kids in the U.S. and Canada as a correspondence course. Kids worldwide will be able to read the guides online when a new VOP website, kidsvop.com, launches early next year. The website will also have additional activities for kids that are not included in the lessons.
