Adventist Medical Center Puts Up Steel for New Pavilion

After one year of construction, AMC has put up 950 tons of structural steel for its new Outpatient Pavilion. When complete in 2009, the new pavilion will add 181,000 square feet to the hospital campus as well as a new multi-level parking garage with 440 additional parking spaces. Services will include: an expanded emergency department, additional inpatient operating rooms and a new center for cardiovascular services that will provide a one-stop location for diagnosis and treatment.

Hanford Community Medical Center to Get a New Hospital

In early 2007, the Adventist Health Board of Directors approved funding for a new 175,000 square-foot medical center to replace the structure that currently houses Hanford Community Medical Center. The $112 million project broke ground this summer and will include a new three-story, 144-bed facility in the heart of Hanford, Calif. Medical/surgical and emergency services from Central Valley General Hospital also will move to the new site.

Howard Memorial Hospital Breaks Ground on New Facility

In late summer, hundreds gathered to break ground on the new Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital. The new hospital will be a 74,000 square-foot, two-story building located in the heart of Willits, Calif. When completed in 2010, the $50 million facility will include 25 beds, four operating suites and nine ER beds.

Construction Continues at Simi Valley Hospital

Currently in phase III of construction, Simi Valley Hospital's Patient Care Tower is nearly complete. When finished, the $58 million project — a four-story facility with 136 private care rooms in Simi Valley, Calif. — will boost the hospital's long-term efforts to develop clinical services, including a level II neonatal intensive care unit.
