Three New Teachers Arrive in Hawaii
Teryl Loeffler

Kahili Adventist School on the island of Kauai is the new home for Dale and Wanda Lee, who have been teaching together for 25 years. Dale is teaching grades 1 and 2, and Wanda is the principal and teaching grades 7 and 8.

A graduate of Atlantic Union College in 1972, Dale began teaching in Maine, the state where he was born and raised. The following year, he married Wanda, a registered nurse.

In 1983, Wanda began working as a teacher's aide in Dale's one room schoolhouse in southern New Jersey. That experience prompted Wanda to go back to college as an elementary education major. In 1999, they both received master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Andrews University.

Elinor Angier, a native of Texas, is a 2006 graduate from Southwestern Adventist University. She spent her first year at Gulfhaven Christian School in Houston, Texas, teaching first and second grades.

Then in June 2007, the former "Miss Santos" married Matthew Angier, packed their belongings, and moved to Hawaii where she is serving as the principal and teaches grades two through four at the Adventist Malama Elementary School.
