Great Preachers Include Three SECC Pastors
By Kit WAtts
Dan Smith, senior pastor of the La Sierra University church, is among three Southeastern California Conference pastors whose sermons are being featured in the series, “Adventist Preaching.”
The sermon series is produced on DVDs by the Adventist Communication Network (ACN). Released April 1, Smith’s six sermons are entitled, “Seeing God at His Very Best: Understanding the Character of God.”
Randy Roberts, senior pastor of the Loma Linda University church, was chosen to inaugurate the series in 2003 with a 5-part series called “Destiny.” Subsequently, Hyveth Williams preached on the meaning, measure, marvel and miracle of the “Great Gospel of Grace,” a series she shared at the H.M.S. Richards Lectureship at Andrews University. So far she is the only woman preacher included in the series.
“Adventist Preaching continually strives for excellence in the art of preaching,” commented Bernie Delafield, coordinator for the series at the North American Division.
The series is produced quarterly and is available at Adventist Book Centers or online at adventsource.org.
