Since his 1996 college graduation, Ramirez has served as a youth pastor for the Kansas City, Mo., Central Spanish Church; chaplain at Cedervale Jr. Academy; a church planter in Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.; and youth director and family life, health and temparance director for the Iowa Missouri Conference. He also served as year-round camp director.
