Recent executive committee recommendations bring new leadership roles to some Arizona workers.
Ed Keyes, ministerial director, was voted vice president and special assistant to the president, while continuing his work directing the ministerial department.
Keyes, a seasoned evangelist, comes to Arizona from the New Jersey Conference, where he functioned in many leadership positions. His enthusiasm is contagious as he leads Arizona pastors and directs evangelistic campaigns throughout the conference. His most recent campaigns were in the Philippines and in the Mesa Palms church.
Keyes is married to Lillian, a respiratory therapist. They have two children, Rebecca, 14, and Andrew, 15.
Erik VanDenburgh was also given additional responsibilities. VanDenburgh has worked as literature evangelism director for the past year and has been very successful leading young people in the Arizona YouthRush program. He has also served as assistant youth director.
VanDenburgh has now been given the official title of youth director for the Arizona Conference. His wife, Jana, was named assistant director and will work on a stipend basis.
"We have a formidable leadership team," says Duane McKey, president, "and I know the Lords work in Arizona will be blessed by the tremendous talents of these dedicated men and women."
