Several members of the San Diego Filipino-American Church not only work at Paradise Valley Hospital (PVH) but also see their employment in much larger terms than a job description.
No matter what their assignment, many of these workers look for the opportunity to touch patients lives, said Elias Molina, PVH director of pastoral care. And, beyond that, some participate in the choir known as His Praise. Their singing ministry is a tremendous blessing at our hospital.
During worship services on Aug. 19, Alan Soderblom, PVH president, commended Fil-Am church members who as both employees and volunteers have consciously sought to fulfill the hospitals mission: We share Gods love through compassionate care and exceptional healthcare services.
Soderblom also presented a plaque recognizing the ministry of the His Praise choir. The select group is led by Ephriam Dingoasen, staff coordinator for the patient care administration department at PVH.
His Praise has supported the hospitals mission in many ways, Soderblom added. The group has sung for our governing board, provided music for our 2005 week of spiritual emphasis, and performed a concert at our Project IntelliCare vesper service. Overall, he concluded, the His Praise choir has enhanced the environment of care and mission emphasis throughout the hospital.
