The Adventist Media Center recently wrapped up a donation project named Purchase A Heart, Save A Heart. The project, headed up by Marshall Chase, manager of the AMC, raised $1,510 and focused on donating funds to ADRA for the Tsunami Relief Fund.
Employees of the AMC were given the opportunity to buy a decorative heart for $25 and hang the heart on the Tree of Love. The money raised went directly to ADRA to help with: Sri Lanka, water purification of 50,000 liters per day and 300,000 water purification tablets; Thailand, protective gear to workers recovering bodies; India, providing food and water to 7,250 displaced people; Indonesia, established a field hospital with a team of local medical experts from regional Adventist hospitals.
