Tsunami Relief Support Update
By Caron Oswald
On December 26, 2004, a 9.0 earthquake near Sumatra resulted in a catastrophic tsunami that caused unprecedented devastation from Indonesia to Africa. The total number killed has risen to more than 220,000 and climbs daily. In Indonesia, nearly 200 new bodies are unearthed each day as the massive clean-up efforts continue.
Central California Conference Adventist schools joined in with so many others around the world to raise relief funds. At a recent meeting in Clovis, principals gifted their first donations. The funds will be forwarded to Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA).
