After many construction delays and challenges, the newest Adventist worship center on the island of Kauai — the Kapaa church — was finished and formally inaugurated on Nov. 27, 2004. Joining Pastor Vic Arreola and the Kapaa church family was the mayor of Kauai, Bryan Baptiste; the First Hawaiian church choir; the members of the Lawai Valley church; Hawaii Conference leaders Arnold Trujillo, Ronald Lindsey and Deloris Trujillo; former members and numerous special guests.

The new church features a stained glass mural which illustrates the Three Angels proclaiming the message of God’s love to the children of Kauai. The mural was commissioned in honor of Katherine Lui and Helen Zane, beloved, longtime leaders of the Kapaa church, by their children.
