Camp Meeting Offering Enables Ministry
By Caron Oswald
The 2004 Camp Meeting Evangelism Offering funded at 105 percent — $1,078,730.
Some of the outreaches made possible include 90 public evangelistic meetings, new youth evangelism team, 24 church plants, 37 Bible workers, two new secular campus ministries by full-time “embedded” missionaries at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and Stanislaus State in Turlock.
The offering also funded 31 additional "New Work" projects, including a new television ministry in East Palo Alto, health outreaches, The Adventure (27 spiritual, service and recreational groups) in Sunnyvale, Recovery Church in Mtn. View, and Happy Homes Outreach by Visalia Bilingual. (New Work projects seek to reach a new group of people, new geographical area, or use a new method/approach to winning people for Jesus.)
