Thunderbird Adventist Academy Hosts Blind Camp
By Shirley Chipman
Beautiful music filled the Thunderbird Adventist Academy chapel each morning of Blind Camp. More than fifty happy voices and smiling faces joined Pastor Bob McGhee on the trumpet and Phil Draper on the keyboard and filled the room with praise.
For some it was their first time at Blind Camp. For others it was a cherished tradition. But for all it was a first experience of Blind Camp in Scottsdale, AZ on the grounds of Thunderbird Adventist Academy – hopefully it will continue for many years to come.
Christian Record Service (CRS) representative for the state of Arizona is Kevin Congo. Kevin and Joyce Shobe were the camp leaders. He is the person to contact for free publications and services for the blind and visually impaired in Arizona.
CRS helps more than 50,000 persons annually to see Jesus through talking books and magazines, Bible guides, National Camps for Blind Children and personal visits.
You may contact Kevin Congo, 480-664-0848, for information or to let him know of someone who needs services for the blind or visually impaired.
