Well into its 62nd uninterrupted year of broadcasting Gods invitation to know Him to the Spanish-speaking world, La Voz de la Esperanza has committed to produce this years North American Division (NAD) NET Spanish-speaking evangelistic event, Red 2004 (NET 2004).
Beginning Friday evening, Oct. 15, through Saturday evening, Oct. 23, La Voz will record 18 programs (two, 30-minute, back-to-back programs per evening) on nine consecutive evenings. The programs will be recorded live at the White Memorial Church in Los Angeles. The programs will later be transmitted via satellite to churches in the Pacific Union Conference and throughout the North American Division Nov. 12-20.
The title of this Red 2004 series will be Descubra (Discover). For years, La Voz, whose programs are broadcast on close to 1,000 radio stations worldwide, has been asked by its radio audience: When will La Voz be seen on television? Recently, the response has become, Soon, very soon.
The Red 2004 satellite series will be the basis from which La Voz de la Esperanzas new television program, Descubra, will be formed and broadcast beginning in 2005 as a weekly program. The program will be made available in most of the western hemisphere and parts of Europe.
The series will challenge viewers to discover what role God wants them to play in His plan for the universe. Thought-provoking questions will be asked on location with answers given by the host of the program, Dr. Frank González, speaker/director of La Voz. These first programs will be studies from the New Testament book of Ephesians in which Paul attempts to bring an understanding of Gods eternal purpose and grace.
In anticipation of this event, and to help guide viewers toward a decision for baptism, close to 140,000 complete Descubra courses have been printed and distributed to conferences throughout the NAD.
Those wishing to be part of the live audience at the taping are invited to come, witness and participate in a program focused on a Christian message of peace, love and hope.
