In response to the command of Jesus Christ to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, clothe the poor, heal the sick and comfort widows and orphans, Seventh-day Adventists give their time, talents, money and goods to serve the victims of disaster.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America has agreements with government and voluntary agencies to manage goods donated in the event of disaster. This means that thousands of trained volunteers are needed to collect, sort, warehouse, and distribute donated goods. The Pacific Union Conference is committed to prepare and enable volunteers for the futures inevitable disasters. Please prayerfully consider joining the ministry of disaster response and attend a training session near you.
The basic training course will be offered: Sept. 12 at San Jose Central (CCC) and La Mesa (SECC); Sept. 19 at Sonora (CCC); Sept. 26 at Redding (NCC); Oct. 3 at Sacramento Capital City (NCC); Oct. 10 at the Southern Calif. Conference office; Oct. 17 at the Southeastern Calif. Conference office; Oct. 24 at Eureka (NCC); Oct. 31 at Armona (CCC).
An advanced training course is scheduled for Dec. 4-5 at Pine Springs Ranch.
