It Is Written Receives Two Angel Awards
Ministry Recognized with National and International Honors
By Michele Stotz
The Excellence in Media organization has awarded two silver Angel Awards to It Is Written Television. The program “How to Get More Out of Prayer” received an international television award, and It Is Written’s Christmas special, “The Night Angels Sang,” received a national television award. The ministry has also received two bronze statuettes from the Telly Awards for the same two programs.
It Is Written’s rich history with the Angel Awards goes back to 1977, when the ministry received its first statuette. Since then, the number has grown to 28. The Telly Awards first recognized the ministry in 2001, and has awarded It Is Written five Tellys since then.
Pastor Mark Finley, speaker/director for It Is Written, feels honored by these distinctions. “The Lord receives all the glory every time It Is Written receives any type of recognition,” said Finley. “These awards always serve to increase the awareness of Adventist programming. We exist to impact our world for God, and we appreciate this opportunity to introduce even more people to Him.”
