During the 2004 Constituency Membership Meeting, four new trustees were named to the La Sierra University board. Each trustee was named to a six-year term.
Henry Coil is a retired building contractor and owner of Riversides most highly respected builder, Tilden Coil Constructors. Coil chairs the LSU Foundation, the LSU Campaign Steering Committee and has strong philanthropic ties to the Riverside community where he is active in numerous civic organizations.
Teresa Day is Vice President for Finance, Region I, Adventist Health Systems in Ontario, Calif. She was formerly Senior VI and CFO of Loma Linda University Medical Center and Senior Manager of Ernest & Young, a Los Angeles area accounting firm. Day is active in the Mesa Grande Academy Board and several professional organizations.
Lowell Hanks is Executive Director for the Medicine Education and Research Foundation in San Diego, Calif., and a graduate of Loma Linda University. He has experience in strategic planning, fiscal turnarounds, organizational mergers, resource consulting, organizational management and oversight of major capital projects. Hanks is also the former Senior Vice President of Sharp Health Care.
Ronald Zane is a retired dentist and a 1952 alumnus of La Sierra. He has been involved with various businesses, including entrepreneurial and scientific research enterprises. Zane has supported the university in many ways, including scholarships for international students. He is also a member of the LSU Campaign Steering Committee.
La Sierra is also saying good-bye to four board membersTed Benedict, Elsie Chan, Fred Manchur and Manley Luckey. Another member, Shelia Marshall-McLean, was renewed for another six-year term.
