Mostert Honored by State Health Care Association
By Karen Haley-Clark
Pacific Union Conference President Thomas J. Mostert was honored by the California Healthcare Association (CHA) during the Feb. 9 board meeting at Adventist Health corporate headquarters in Roseville, Calif. Mostert has served as chair of the Adventist Health Board of Directors for the past 17 years.
C. Duane Dauner, president of CHA, presented Mostert with the CHA Leadership in Governance Award. This recognition is given to a selected board trustee of a California hospital or health system who has shown exemplary service as an active, informed and dedicated trustee, and who has demonstrated a commitment to health care policies and issues.
“Tom is an outstanding leader,” said Donald R. Ammon, president and CEO of Adventist Health. “The board members and corporate officers are very pleased that he has been selected to receive this impressive honor.”
CHA represents the interests of nearly 500 member hospitals and other health care providers in California with regard to federal and state legislative and regulatory issues.
