While adults attended “The Way to Happiness” Seminars at the Los Angeles Adventist Church, their children attended meetings in which they learned Christian songs. On the night before the series’ closing evening the children sang, "I Will Sing of the Mercies of the Lord Forever," which they had just learned that week. The children expressed appreciation for their singing lessons, and some watched their parents or other relatives being baptized at the end of the week.

Pastor Terry Tsui, secretary of the Hong Kong-Macao Conference, was the speaker for the 10-day series, which drew attendance that filled the church sanctuary. “On the closing night of the series I was privileged to baptize 22 souls into the church,” said Jonathan Foo, L. A. Chinese Church pastor. “After further study, an additional four individuals were baptized by the end of 2003. We praise God for these new members of our church family.”
