Wal-Mart Stocking The Passion of Love
In an unprecedented move, Wal-Mart began selling The Passion of Love, published by Remnant Publications, containing the last 13 chapters of the soul-stirring book Desire of Ages.
Dwight Hall, president, reports that several months ago Wal-Mart approached Remnant to ask if they could carry The Passion of Love. At the end of August, 2,200 Wal-Mart stores all across the country began to stock the book.
“We feel the timing couldn’t be more perfect!” In August, Wal-Mart and other major retailers began to sell Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” on DVD and expect sales to reach 20 million copies. Wal-Mart will carry the Remnant book right alongside the DVDs.
This is the first time that any of Ellen White’s books have been carried by a major retailer. Remnant would like help to drive up the demand. They have developed an “Adopt a Wal-Mart” plan. Many churches are already participating. For details, e-mail adopt@remnantpublications.com or call toll free, 800-423-1319.
“It's so important for us to move into this wide-open door!” says Hall.
