Seventh-day Adventists demonstrate their commitment to religious liberty every year by making the annual religious liberty offering the largest of all the special yearly offerings. The enthusiasm, commitment and dedication shown by local church religious liberty leaders and their pastors make all the difference.
The Public Affairs and Religious Liberty department is pleased to honor the 2003 religious liberty award winners for their outstanding efforts. Luncheons were held in various parts of the Pacific Union to celebrate their achievements. Representatives from congressional district offices and state legislatures were there to help honor the award winners.
This year, the Pacific Union celebrates the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Church State Council as the public arm of religious liberty ministry. Award winners this year will be guests at an anniversary banquet in June. We are praying for a literal redoubling of our effort and commitment to religious liberty so that we can greatly expand the ministry and influence of Liberty magazine.
