First and second grade students at Thunderbird Christian Elementary School in Scottsdale made an impression at this year’s Arizona State Fair. Using a variety of materials, students created colorful mask collages to enter in the fair’s art contest. All collages were on display for the duration of the fair, Oct. 9-27.

First grader Austin Biggs and second graders Nicole Dalotto, Cheyenne Feig, Stevie Palmer, Kolton Prinke and Peter Saurez were awarded kudos and ribbons. Students plan to enter the Phoenix Symphony Paint to Music contest in May.
